Understanding mental health in the workplace

          June 24th, 2020

8:30 AM to 9:30 AM

Presented via Zoom

To Register:  Understanding Mental Health in the Workplace

Program Summary

Mental health in the workplace is more commonplace than we think. We’re all human and we all experience mental health differently. It’s slowly being talked about more frequently, but we have a long way to go. Everyone wants to do and feel their best at work and HR is in a unique position to support and, more importantly, advocate for mental health in the workplace.

I am not a mental health professional, but I am a real human in HR, so what you’ll get is:

  • (a little) Data on mental health
  • That data explained in a real-life story
  •  Ideas, tools & recommendations on how to support mental health in the workplace
  • (Hopefully) Inspiration to become mental health advocates (for your employees and yourself!)

Learning Objectives

This will cover the following topics:

  • What mental health really looks like on a day to day basis
  • The HR side of mental health
  • The Employee side of mental health
  • How to advocate for change

Professionally, she continually looks for opportunities to influence business and HR leaders whether it be through her day job, side hustles, or DisruptHR. She currently lives in West Fargo and spends her summer watching baseball, gardening, being at the lake, and taking in as many family activities as possible.
