Much has been written about compensation as we have gone from the growth to economic downturn to economic upturn. Benefits have taken on an increased focus. This session will explore why it is important to take a total compensation approach to compensation planning and implementation and why it must be done in conjunction with an understanding of today’s workforce demographics and tomorrow’s workforce planning.
Gaining an understanding of the value of cash compensation as compared to benefits.
How to dispel the “myth” often spoken as “We don’t need to be competitive on salaries because our benefits are so good.”
The importance of understanding that we have two groups to consider when doing cash compensation planning but three groups when doing benefits planning.

Neville Kenning is the Founder and President of Kenning Consulting, based in Orange County, CA. Kenning’s homeland is New Zealand and he holds a degree in Business Administration from the Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand.
