The Economics of Workplace Childcare

To Register: The Economics of Workplace Childcare

Tuesday, November 11th at 8:30 am, presented via Zoom.

Speaker: Calli Adamson-Bakken

Program Summary & Key Takeaways:

Childcare isn’t just a personal problem—it’s an economic one, and it’s costing your organization more than you think. Every unfilled role, every missed day, every disengaged employee has a price tag, and in many cases, childcare gaps are the hidden culprit. In The Economics of Workplace Childcare, we’ll pull back the curtain on the billions lost annually in productivity, retention, and recruitment because of inadequate childcare support. We’ll also examine local workforce and childcare statistics to reveal exactly how these challenges are shaping your own talent pipeline. You’ll discover why forward-thinking employers are treating childcare as a core business strategy—not a perk—and how you can quantify its impact on your bottom line.

At the end of the session, participants will be able to:

1. Quantify the hidden costs of inadequate childcare on productivity, turnover, and recruitment.

2. Assess how childcare challenges influence workforce participation and organizational competitiveness

3. Understand the local and national childcare climate.

4. Examine local and national resources supporting workplace childcare initiatives.
